Drama From Denby

Drama is for those who dare to be different. The collection brings a little designer decadence to the dinner table. Drama is the ultimate style statement, unconventional, sophisticated and original. A sleek silhouette in midnight blue and cream it is perfect for formal entertaining and guaranteed to impress. In good design detail is everything. The fine elegant shapes of Drama will flatter the most discerning interiors.
Denby made the decision to retire Drama with immediate effect in the last quarter of 2006. Although Drama had proved to be reasonably popular the choice of midnight blue was a problem. Dramatic and stylish, midnight blue was at the heart of the patterns popularity but also one of its greatest problems. Blue has been traditionally one of the most technically difficult colours to produce pottery in.
Such a dark shade, as used on Drama, caused many production problems, and it was sometimes difficult to ensure a standardisation of colouring as is necessary when pottery is produced on such a large scale. This reason and Denby's policy to continue to update and refresh its ranges led to Drama's sudden retirement in 2006.
